Is there still a plan for a youth track? (Thinking about the “audience” section of the form)
Not sure where to leave questions, but I was wondering what the attendance has been for the previous conferences and if there was any way to peruse the workshops from those years, as well. I’m doing a little research to see if I can/should organize a group of lgbtq youth to submit a proposal/consider attending. thanks in advance for an answer or an email to someone who may provide an answer.
To give you an idea, in 2013, our attendance was around 350 people, and last year, we drew more than 500 people (200 of those were youth). You can find out more information about our past fairs here – https://tcedfair.org/twin-cities-annual-social-justice-education-fair/
You might be interested in checking out our Young Activists Summit information from last year (within the fair, we made space for youth-led workshops, art space, and networking), and you can find that info in the 2014 program here – https://tcedfair.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/onlineprogramsjef20141.pdf
If you have more questions, feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d be very excited to have your youth facilitate a workshop! In fact, we are hosting a proposal writing workshop for youth on Thursday, September 3rd, 5-7:30pm at YouthPrise (615 1st Ave NE #125, Minneapolis, MN 55413). Let us know if you are interested in attending!
